Spotlight

Spotlight is an interesting film in that it contains virtually no character development, and the plot never has a distinctive climax or peak, and yet it remains fantastically engaging from start to finish. It’s an inherently sad movie by virtue of its subject matter, but the story is held back from being melodramatic or overly “Hollywood-ized” by its staunch focus on the journalistic process.
