Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

Like its two titular characters, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is a clash of the dark and the light- for as amazing as the cinematography and score are, the character interactions and internal logic of the story are just as poor. With Affleck and Gadot absolutely nailing their parts (and Cavill being fine) over a generous 2.5 hour run time there’s no reason the chemistry between DC’s mighty trinity of heroes shouldn’t have been off the charts, but incompetent handling of Superman’s character combined with an illogical reason for the pair finally throwing down leave us with a movie that’s disappointingly “alright.”

    1. I agree. I’m glad I watched it, and I’ll watch it again when it’s out on Blu-ray. It’s just didappointing that they did some things so well, and other, more basic things so poorly.
